FarmMatch Australia Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
1. What we collect
For workers we collect account and contact details, location and travel plans, availability, work preferences, visa type, experience, skills, resume and application activity. For farms and agencies we collect contact, organisation, ABN, licence, host, role, billing and compliance information. We also collect platform activity such as role views, invitations, responses and status changes.
2. Why we use it
- Create and secure accounts.
- Match workers with suitable roles and routes.
- Send requested role invitations and operational messages.
- Run applications, interviews, placements, support and safety processes.
- Prevent misuse, maintain audit records and comply with legal obligations.
- Improve matching quality and platform performance.
3. Agency matching is optional
Agency matching is off unless the worker turns it on. When enabled, an approved agency may search an anonymised profile containing relevant availability, route, visa type, skills, experience and practical preferences. Search results exclude the worker's name, email, phone, photo and resume. FarmMatch sends the invitation, and the agency does not receive identifying contact information through the search flow unless the worker accepts the specific role and the recruitment progresses.
4. Farms and applications
Farms receive only the profile information needed to assess an application. Exact worker contact details and exact private farm location details are kept restricted until both sides have indicated interest or the information is otherwise needed for an accepted recruitment or placement step.
5. Service providers and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We use service providers for hosting, authentication, email, analytics, payments and support. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect safety or platform integrity, or with the user's direction or consent. Providers receive only information needed to perform their service.
6. Worker controls
Workers can change search visibility, pause their profile, disable agency matching, correct their information, or request access or deletion. Disabling agency matching removes the profile from new agency searches; records of invitations or applications already accepted may be retained where required for security, disputes or legal compliance.
7. Security and retention
We use access controls, server-side authorisation and audit records to reduce unauthorised disclosure. No system is completely risk-free. We retain records only for as long as reasonably required for the service, safety, disputes, fraud prevention and legal or accounting obligations, then delete or de-identify them where practical.
8. Overseas processing
Some technology providers may process data outside Australia. Where used, we take reasonable steps to select reputable providers and apply appropriate access and contractual controls.
9. Contact and complaints
For access, correction, deletion, privacy questions or complaints, email hello@farmmatchaustralia.com. Please include the account email and enough detail for us to locate the relevant record.
